The Haddam Little League
consists of the following leagues |

Tee Ball - Boys and Girls age 5 - 6
Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls who want to learn the fundamentals of
hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee.
The primary goals of Tee Ball are to have fun, instruct players in the
fundamentals of baseball and softball and to allow them to experience values of
team work.
Each team is provided with balls, bats & helmets for use
by all players on the team. Each player is also provided with a team hat
and uniform shirt for use at all games and pratices. Players are required
to provide a glove and sneakers or cleats. All games are played each
Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Great Hill Athletic Complex
located on Jail Hill Road. Teams may also hold practices 1-2 times per
week.
Instructional Softball - Girls age 7 - 8
Instructional Softball is for girls who have moved
up from Tee Ball and is a players first exposure to playing softball.
In this league coaches pitch during games so that players can focus on the
fundamentals. The primary goals of Instructional Softball are to
have fun, teach basic softball fundamentals, teach teamwork and to promote
sportsmanship.
Each team is provided with balls,
bats & helmets for use by all players on the team. Each player is also provided
with a team visor and uniform shirt for use at all games and pratices. Players
are required to provide a glove, cleats and white uniform pants. Normally
each team holds 2 - 3 pratice sessions and or games per week.

is a players first exposure to playing baseball. In this

baseballl fundamentals, teamwork and to promote sportsmanship.
The league provides each team with balls, bats & helmets for use by all
players on the team. Each player is also provided with a team hat and uniform
shirt for use at all games and pratices. Players are required to provide a
glove, cleats and white uniform pants. Normally each team holds 2 - 3 pratice
sessions and or games per week. Games are usually played either at the
Great Hill Atheltic Complex on Jail Hill Road or at the Utility Field at HK High
School on Little City Road.
Minor League Softball - Girls age 8 - 10
Minor League Softball is a players first exposure to
a
level of
competitive softball and is intended for younger players with less experience
and prepares them for eventual selection to a major league team.
The league provides each team with balls, bats & helmets for use by all players
on the team. Each player is also provided with a team visor, uniform shirt and
catches gear for use at all games and pratices. Players are required to provide
a glove, cleats and white uniform pants. Each team normally holds 2 - 3 games
or pratice session each week. Games are held at HK High School.
Depending on the number of players, a team may be formed for play in tournament
games held during the month of July.
Minor League Baseball - Boys & Girls age 8 - 10
Minor League Baseball is a players first exposure to a
level of
competitive baseball and is intended for younger players with less experience
and prepares them for eventual selection to a major league team.
The league provides each team with balls, bats & helmets for use by all players
on the team. Each player is also provided with a team hat and uniform shirt and
catches gear for use at all games and pratices. Players are required to provide
a glove, cleats and white uniform pants.
A team is formed at the end of the regular season for play in tournament games
held during the month of July at sites in neighboring towns. A
non-tournament team may also be formed for players who are not part of the
regular tournament team.
Major League Softball - Girls age 10 - 12
Major League softball is a competitive level of play. The goals at
this level are to continue to improve a players skills with a continued focus on
teamwork, sportsmanship and the respect of other players, coaches and umpires.
The league provides each team with balls, bats & helmets for use by all players
on the team. Each player is also provided with a team hat and uniform shirt and
catches gear for use at all games and pratices. Players are required to provide
a glove, cleats and white uniform pants.
Major League Baseball - Boys & Girls age 10 - 12
Major League baseball is a competitive level of play. The goals at
this level are to continue to improve a players skills with a continued focus on
teamwork, sportsmanship and the respect of other players, coaches and umpires.
The league provides each team with balls, bats & helmets for use by all players
on the team. Each player is also provided with a team hat and uniform shirt and
catches gear for use at all games and pratices. Players are required to provide
